The Roncador Sanctuary

The gravitational force around planet Earth; the force that builds up inside it. Life is, after all, an orchestra conducted by a growth and movement of energies. Vortices on the ground where we live are concentrating-mixing-approximating-signaling new possibilities for the world: The physical can be closer to the spiritual.

The Masters of the Venerável Loja Branca (Venerable White Shop) emanate their messages of deliverance from the planet’s core to those who can hear it and share it. From her left ear, the 60-something woman from Mato Grosso state can hear it all: her name is Deusa, or Deuzinha for those who are closer to her. She’s a member of the Fraternidade Branca, a group of superior beings caring for the path and evolution of humankind and our planet.

"At the turn of every era,

women have a prominent role"

João Carlos, Santuário do Roncador

And only a woman could be the spiritual guide at this place that ranks as one of the world's main points of energy concentration. Superior, internal, spiritual, and initiatory knowledge: Gnosis – the philosophy/procession of faith by which people in Roncador live and study – preaches the reclaiming of Sacred Feminine celebrations during a time when women have been removed from the important role of spiritual leadership. Once again; they must speak, emanating good energy and wishing good upon all.

That’s because we need it! We live in an important time of changing eras, and must seek guidance and orientation in order to evolve our search for love, tenderness, health, and harmony: according to Gnosis, these are principally feminine abilities. And Santuário do Roncador reveals itself as a route for recovering and rebuilding towards a new day. It’s a center for spiritual energy that’s open to people from all races, beliefs and religions.

To get there one must cross over one hundred and eighty miles of bumpy backcountry roads in the heart of Brazil. It’s a long way until Serra do Roncador appears: the center-most point in the country, a barely known jungle with impressive rock formations. When the air blows through the cracks in the rocks, a deep snoring sound engulfs the night. It's the sound of a snoring man (roncador in Portuguese) that gives the place its name... as well as the backdrop to many stories of magical beings and communities.

This place was chosen by Sanat Kumara, Saint Germain, Septenefille, and Samael Aum Weor: the four Masters of the Venerável Loja Branca who summoned Deuzinha to be the temple's guardian Vestal. Its architecture, like its geography, is another invitation into fantastic realms: a castle with four houses with colorful pointed roofs, a temple beneath a cave, and two suspended pyramids – two pyramids weighing over eight hundred pounds… suspended in the air.

“Gnosis is born from a very simple desire:

to know who we are”

João Carlos, Santuário do Roncador

Deuzinha helps people by reading their auras, especially during the open rituals at the Sanctuary, with a special focus on the Incan New Year celebrations, the coming of spring. Every September, approximately two hundred people arrive from all over the world, seeking good energy, a cure, and alignment with Machu Picchu. Paired on the globe and in Gnosis, each of these places hold an important share of human history.

Bells ring before and after the ritual, which starts at 7pm in the grotto-temple where the sound of the wind forms an orchestra with the ceremonial chanting. Everyone is wearing white and fasting: seven days without sexual relations, seven days without meat. Burning incense welcomes guests as a few candles light the way towards the next part of the night. One by one, Deuzinha examines their auras and emanates evolutionary energy...

“Many come in search of a physical cure and fall in love with the energy”

 João Carlos, Santuário do Roncador

Bodies lie on the ground beneath the pyramid. There are cotton balls doused in bodily fluids. Tales of curing spread with the snoring sounds of this magical place. From secrecy to accessibility, the Sanctuary and its goddess Deusa took in many Brazils and the world in search of discovery and improvement. Healed bodies or enchanted souls, from inside Earth or orbiting around the planet: those who stay the night are transformed by a new energy.
